I miss the riteaid on old york road for many reasons. . But the primary reason is that every time I call the one on easton road they act like i'm disturbing them. . Rude. Assumptive. Condescending that their text messages say one thing and then when I call they're saying another but apparently from the tone of their voice that's my fault. Compassion goes a long way especially when you're working in a pharmacy. . I shouldn't feel like a criminal when i'm asking questions about allergy medicine. Today it was lisa but honestly i've had this situation with three or four different people there. The only one that still shows kindness and patience is the wonderful lady that came from old york road. She is the only reason you managed to get two stars today.

The pharmacy at this location is PHENOMENAL; its, without any hesitation or doubt whatsoever, THE BEST PHARMACY Ive ever utilized in my life (Im 62 and Ive had and have numerous serious health issues throughout my life - e.g., Ive undergone two open-heart surgeries [the first in 2002; it was supposed to last only 4-6 hours - it ended up taking 12 hours, plus another approximately 3 hours [the surgical team had sewn me up and sent me to the CCU; I began to bleed profusely, so I had to go back fo surgery for another 3 hours] - 15 hours total! I also flatlined for a few minutes during the first 12 hours // the second occurred in 2011; the 4-6 hour surgery expanded to 9+ hour's, again with complications]; Ive been battling an incurable and terminal cancer - Multiple Myeloma - for 8 1/2 yearsthats 8 1/2 years of different but continuous chemotherapy and chemotherapy augmentation treatments [Ill have to be on some type of chemotherapy regimen for the rest of my life]; I have Prostate cancer, which was treated with eight weeks of radiation therapy [for those 8 weeks, I had both chemotherapy and radiation therapy]; I have life-long asthma & all-season allergies; I have presbyesophogus; Im being treated for permanent injuries [left-knee tibia plateau fracture and Persistent Post-Concussive Syndrome] following an incident in May 2010as I was walking in a crosswalk on a green light, a SUV smashed into me; I was in a coma for a week when I was 19, due to thrombophlebitis-cellulitis; I had contracted a nasty case of MRSA in 2010; etc., etc., etc). My pharmaceutical needs are complex (and they must be rigidly followed); ALL the Rite Aid pharmacists at this location brilliantly keep up with my overwhelming and constantly changing amount of pers option needs. I trust them - COMPLETELY- with my life. If they question anything about my pharmacy requests (e.g., if the prescriptions lacking the appropriate information; if there are contraindications; which over-the-counter meds are most effective and/or least expensive; etc.). They necessarily are experts as to all my meds and medical conditions; their advice is spot-on, 100% correct and given in a friendly and no-nonsense manner. There always smiling faces, welcoming and warm demeanor, and seemingly personalized care are all on display 24/7/365. The folks who work in the pharmacy are all consummate professionals. In their manner, dress, appearance and customer interactions, they rank amongst the highest of professionals in my life (Im an Ivy League Law School alum). I respect, cherish and depend upon them to keep me alive - which they do, again, 24/7/365. This locationss managers are ALWAYS on the ball (like handling customer issues); I always see them working: with customers; with store employees; stocking merchandise; cleaning, etc. The managers and store personnel are always friendly, courteous and helpful.
