CHOP Urgent Care, Abington

We've gone to CHOP for quite some time, but it's hit or miss with the doctor. One doctor by the name of Katz (could be spelled wrong) didn't provide a prescription for my child and said it will go away. We went to his pediatrician and asked her and she said antibiotics should've been prescribed for his condition. He went weeks without a prescription. My other son saw the same provider for something else, and since it's been a while, I'll say it was for a hemorrhoid. No medication. It will go away. If a child needs medication to speed up the healing and the parent has spent time, money, and effort to get their child to your Urgent care, at minimal, prescribe medication for appropriate care.

Horrible, my kid is seen by a doctor, I was told the prescription was sent to CVS. Next morning at CVS no one received it. Now I need to wait until 2pm when urgent care opens to solve the question. Trying to call back at 2pm to resolve such a simple question is like going through seven gates of hell. No one picks up, once they pick up, they put you on hold. Wait is ~ 1 hour just to talk to someone. Meanwhile my kid is without the crucial treatment for 24 hours and counting. Update: the took down my information but no one bothered to call back and transmit prescription. I ended up going to Vybe urgent care and they re-diagnosed my kid and issued prescription for antibiotics. I was finally able to obtain drugs around 6pm. I wonder when and if CHOP will ever call back. I am so done with their Urgent care.

Horrible experience at check-in. A staff member (Cecilia Brown) kicked off a 5-year-old child with a fever outside because it was 3 minutes before Urgent Care opened. This is absolutely inhumane to the child. This kind of person should not work with children.

Love this place. Finally a chop facility thats not an hour away! If only they had hired more specialists. In due time I suppose. Thank you all for your service. Great people and doctors and overall a great place.
