Empanada Mama

Hey Michael,I am so sorry that you did not get your empanadas as hot as you would've liked on your visit the other day and I can understand your frustration. I take the quality of our food very seriously so I went thru out kitchen camera footage to see what could have occurred on the day of your visit. Since we do not have a microwave anywhere in our building, I became quite concerned about the product quality and what could have caused a soggy empanada. Based off of the footage it appears the order was heated upon your arrival at the shop and taken out from the oven after about 6 minutes of reheating. No one came back to the window to collect the order for almost 20 more minutes though. I think what happened was the empanadas steamed up inside the box during that length of time and got soggy. Our current boxes are not corrugated so the steam release is not quite as good as it could be. I will take a peak at some other box options for the future and I am sorry that your experience was not a great one. We do offer a chimichurri dipping sauce quite frequently also, so it is always worth asking your server if we have any on hand! It won't be posted on our menu but we usually have some in the kitchen that we can get for you!Hoping that your next experience is a better one and I appreciate your feedback, which has prompted me to explore some other packaging options.

Hey Johnny,I am so sorry that it was not more clear on Doordash that they are sold by the unit. I can understand that this would be pretty frustrating and not quite filling enough. We do typically recommend 3 empanadas for a meal and I will look into adding that onto the Doordash platform somewhere. Also, just as a heads up for future orders, if you order delivery directly through out website, the empanadas are $3.50 - $3.75 each. The prices are noticeably higher on Doordash because they take a 30% commission of the order total from us. So if you decide to order again, order delivery through our website and save money!
