We've called on Kniese's for a few unusual and tricky jobs and they have performed wonderfully -- with efficiency and skill. Sometimes offering useful suggestions for improvements.

I have worked in a professional and personal manner with them. Always a great bunch of guys from the office to the field. Quick response when I had an issue with my well. Would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

Called for a leak in my shower. Expected to have a plumber replace the cartridge, maybe an hour labor (140 hr) and 150.00 tops for the part. By the time it was over the young man had replaced all the copper behind my shower and used 3 hrs labor. Total cost was 512.88.
Will say the work appears quality but not sure how these new press fittings will workout in the long run. Working in industrial bldg. controls I have seen them used so fingers crossed.
They went beyond what I asked for and thought was necessary and failed obtain authorization prior proceeding with additional. In the end I went ahead and paid the invoice as I didnt feel like fighting over what would have been about 250.00. As stated I dont question the quality of their work but it would have been nice to get my approval PRIOR to ripping out my plumbing.
While the office wouldnt quote the job up front, my advice is to either get them tied down to a scope of work or a quote as it could result in work being performed that you didnt authorize. This repair should have been a quick cartridge replacement.
As there was no leakage in the plumbing I hope all the new work and additional connections wont give me future issues as no warranty or guarantee in workmanship is provided on the invoice or indicated on their website.
To their credit they ate an hour of the labor so in the end it isnt the end of the world. Just wouldve been nice to keep me in the loop.
