Water was not clean. There was stuff floating in the water. Should have said something in the beginning but I was already nude and wet. The water temp was also set to high I think. My heart kept racing during the float causing me to be distracted. I ended up having to get out a half hour early into my 90 minute float due to this. After doing research after most places say if the temp is too high it can cause blood pressure issues. I can say the heater was so hot that it would almost burn you on the bottom of the tub. That coupled with condensation dripping from the ceiling makes me think the water temp was way too high. I wanted to float not be boiled alive. This was my second time floating but first time at this site. I will need to keep looking I think. My first time at another location I did not have any issues at all. I will say Alysa was very nice and polite. For reference I was in the Boni room.

Nov. 2023 - our first couples float in the Beach room. We walked into an empty waiting room. Once greeted, the process was explained. Naively, we endured the process which was far from peaceful. Our experience included rapid heartbeat, ringing/pounding in ears, and difficulty standing and breathing as we exited the tub. The buttons for lights and music did not work and the sides and bottom of the tub were extremely hot. Since both of us experienced the same physical ailments we researched and found that temperatures warmer than 94.5 could lead to this reaction. We reached out to relax:Float Spa a few times and although we did not feel they addressed our concerns or what happened to us appropriately, they did offer us another room. This room did have working buttons for the lights and music and was set at a lower temperature (sides and bottom of tub did not burn skin). I feel relax: Float Spa is not for those new to floating. I gave it the lowest rating due to the issues above and that it seems to be understaffed (both times we left the facility and there was no one around).

For the first time I can say that I even liked it. The extraordinary attentiveness of the staff to the details and needs of the client once again emphasized their highest level of service. Beautifully designed spaces, aromatherapy and soft music only added to the feeling of complete peace. After visiting this spa I feel like a new person, completely energized and calm. The only and significant minus for me was the sauna, its temperature was very low, overall everything was good The guys provide all the necessary things, you don't need to take anything I recommend. . . . Why thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this review. We are sorry that we weren't able to give you a 5-Star Experience. However, we are super happy to hear that you survived after almost being "boiled alive" (as you put it) and seemed to make a full enough recovery to review us on here.We really wish you would've brought these issues to our attention while you were actually here, so we could explain, address and correct any issues that you might've experienced during your visit. Luckily the guests before/after you were happy with their pool temp. Since you told Alisa that it was "good", when she read this review, she was shocked. If you would've brought up the fact that you thought the pool was a bit warmer than you prefer, we would've instantly moved you to another suite. We would've then checked temperature manually with a Certified, UL Calibrated Thermometer to ensure the pool's thermostat was functioning properly. Also at that time, we would've also visually inspected the pool a 2nd time (as it was visually inspected before your arrival) to check for the "stuff" floating in the water. Our pump/filtration system runs 45 minutes in between guests to ensure the cleanliness and sanitary standards to remove 99.7% of all impurities in the pool prior to the next float session. Once the filters turn off, there might be air bubbles from the filtration jets that could cause bubbles at the surface, which could be mistaken as "stuff" in the water. In regards to the pool temperatures....While your research is correct, if you lay in water above 98°F for an extended period of time, it could lead to an unsafe environment. However, our pools are not set that high. While Float Therapy is designed to reduce all external sensory input (complete darkness, complete silence, odorless, and set to body temperature), our pools MUST be set a few degrees higher than the standard 94.1°F (skin temp). If our pools were set to that degree setting, you would be writing a review on how we almost froze you to death. Our custom pools are larger than "pods" or completely open pools you might find and are set slightly above skin temperature, but below 97.9°F as to not be near an unsafe temperature. Also, our heaters are not in-line pool heaters, our pools have 6 heater panels on the underside of the pool that turn on/off to keep the pools at the desired temperature. If you noticed the floor of the pool being hot, that was simply because the thermostat told the heaters to turn on at that time. Being that we are a custom built facility, and created differently than the float center that you previously visited, it's obvious that here you would prefer a "cooler" float. We can absolutely adjust the pool water temperature down a degree or two to provide a more comfortable experience to your liking. However, upon your entry into your suite, that pool was properly set to our standard. Condensation is just the nature of the beast of having an indoor, heated pool facility. We squeegee and clean the ceilings of each room in the morning to try to ensure no annoying drips interrupt our guests float sessions. However, it seems as if we might've missed some water on your ceiling and you happened to have gotten dripped on. Unless you are floating in an open pool design (which we're assuming you have prior), condensation is a thing the majority of the float centers deal with.Again, we wish you would've brought this to our attention the minute you felt as if something wasn't right, however we hope this explanation of your concerns might quell your fears and clear up any misinformation put out there. We know Google Reviews are a tremendous source of information for potential guests, and we wish you realized how bad a 2-Star Review could be for a small business like ours...Especially when you exit our facility and let us know it was "good". On your next visit, we will be happy to lower the pool temperature to suit your liking.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this thoughtful (but tough for us to read) review! We're sorry that our facility and space did not meet your needs when trying flotation therapy for the very first time. We are so sorry to have missed the mark, as we are always striving for 5 Star reviews with for each and every guest experience.(As explained in our previous communication), our facility is custom built with larger, oversize and more inviting environments to float. Due to their larger size, it's a necessity for us to keep our pools a few degrees warmer than the standard, smaller float pods. Unfortunately, these few degrees led for you and your companion to have a less than desirable first time float experience. However, we are thankful that you were openminded enough to come back and try the experience again! It seems as if that experience (other than not having a 2nd Spa attendant on staff) provided a bit more of an enjoyable experience for you and your companion.Unfortunately, the needs of our business do not dictate needing two Spa Attendants on staff at any given time. It is rare that folks might have to wait in the lobby a few minutes while we might be tied up with a task. It's never been brought up in such a harsh (one star) way before. Up until now, our Float Family have been more than happy to patiently wait for us to return to the lobby after completing whatever we were doing. We're a small, family run business. We aren't a big chain, we aren't a franchise and we don't have multiple partners involved. It's just us, doing our best. In 5 years with all 5 Star reviews up until this point, we are doing the absolute best we can and again we apologize for missing the mark on your visit. That being said, we are always looking to grow our staff, so if you know of anyone looking for a part time, night and weekend position, please send them our way! We assure you that during your time with us, our attendants were there, tending to the needs of the spa and our guests. If you didn't see them upon your departure, they were simply getting the suites ready for the next set of floaters scheduled to come in. In our 5 years of operation, this is the first time it's been a major cause of concern with a guest of ours. If and when the business needs dictate that more staff will be needed, we will definitely be looking for the right folks to bring on board! We sincerely hope you find a float facility that will meet your needs and you keep flotation as part of your self care practice. We truly feel as if it is one of the best self care modalities around, we're just sorry that it won't be at our facility. We hope you and yours have a great holiday season!-Craig and the team at relax: Float Spa

Why thank you so much Ilyas for the kind words and thoughful review. We're so grateful that you were able to come in and visit us and enjoy your experience! We're sorry to see the 4 Star reviews (minus one star for the Infrared Sauna not being as hot as you prefer). We wanted to share a link with you to the sauna manufacturer in regards to WHY and HOW infrared saunas work differently than traditional saunas. You ( or anyone curious) can view that article here:Basically it states: The traditional sauna is a centuries-old tradition and is unquestionably a helpful ritual.Traditional saunas use high heat to heat the cabin air and a shallow, surface sweat will be produced as the body cools itself. Some infrared sauna heaters also work this way.On the other hand, Sunlighten infrared saunas are not required to run at high heat (60°C+). The ambient air temperature of the sauna is a personal preference. It has nothing to do with the efficacy of the infrared, which works best between 45°C - 58°C degrees. This is great news for those who find hot air in traditional saunas to be intolerable. We specifially went with this type of sauna as to help you feel the relaxing benefits of Infrared Sauna usage, without raising your core temperate too high. If your core went too high (as it would in a regular sauna), when you entered the float pool, it would have your body temperature a little out of wack, and then the quality of your float would suffer.Either way, thanks for the positive review, we hope to see you soon!
