When I first talked to Eddie and worked out a day to have Fairfield landscaping redesign my front yard, side flower beds , trim/ shape buhes etc.the full monty so to speak. I was very distinct and descriptive about what I wanted done and how I wanted it done. Eddie persistently said "no problem no problem you say with me doing this a long time you'll be thrilled when I'm done" my estimate included what I requested which was extending my flower bed out front and turning the dirt, add topsoil and then the mulch. In this estimate I included the sides of my house and across the front of the back fence. Depending how it went I was going to have him do further work in the backyard. They started a few days early when I wasn't home ! I expressly said I wanted to be here to oversee. As per our discussion they were to remove weeds on all beds Not only did they NOT PULL the weeds, his staff , which consisted of an 18 y/o (who had just started afew month earlier)and a 20 something young man (who had a less than few years experience) They sprayed everything with round up and we did nothing with the exception of the pachysandra I asked them to remove, when I first talked with Eddie to be included in my estimate. They actually pulled up several of my plants in the front which they didn't recognize as plants and I only pulled a part of the pachysandra the rest they covered with mulch. The boys constantly acted like they didn't know what I was talking about and when I was persistent, the older one would call Eddie who appear within 10 mins! He had an answer for everything , brushing me off about my expectations. Additionally these young men while using the spray, did not wear goggles or a face mask and nor gloves. I spoke up, telling them that Round Up Was known to cause cancer and I wasn't thrilled with them using it on my property. , mentioning it was better than weeding and wouldn't grow back. This was last September 2021. By Oct I had weeds every where. The mulch was installed over rocks and tree stumps. the topsoil was not topsoil! Nothing was leveled out and by March even the landscaping fabric was showing through. Additionally he had to borrow two rolls of fabric from me because he ran out, and I never saw him credit. I could go on and on but I won't because tell I'm telling you this was terrible. I had added on the addition of delivering me four large boulders in my backyard where I wanted to build a small pond. In the process of doing this and digging out the hole, he dented my fence and never mentioned it. Nor offered to fix it after I had mentioned it to the older young man working here. I tried to reach Eddie several times after he was finished here. His voicemail is always full and the phone was never answered. I called her several times but with personal events going on in my life, everything was put on the back burner in pursuing him. My front yard looks atrocious and now I'm out there I have been pulling weeds since May it's uneven and I have fallen several times because of this. The whole experience after the initial estimate was a complete mess. Eddie is extremely unprofessional and should be ashamed of himself for the way he acts with customers. Afterwords, I had others in the area tell me he is known as "Fast Eddie" and trust me its accurrate !THINK CAREFULLY before hiring this non- professional Service: Landscape design construction

At first everything seemed fine, talked to Eddie and worked out a day to have Fairfield landscaping refresh my front yard and edge my flower beds. They started a day early and I was not prepared for that, the estimate said they would remove the weeds in the flower beds but instead they weed wacked them and put mulch on top of them, when I questioned this they said they sprayed them so they won't grow back, but again the estimate says they would be removed. The estimate also said they would put netting down to protect the new grass, but I had to fight with them about that as well, they only wanted to put hay down, when I questioned that Eddie said it won't blow away but then threw his hands In the air and said if you want the God danm netting we will put that down too, he than walked away. I'm still cleaning hay out of my brand new Hvac system in my home. Eddie says he has 34 years of experience and that was impressive to me, but while he was looking at my flower bed he couldn't tell the difference between a weed and a flower, I had to show him the difference. The whole experience after the initial estimate was a complete mess. Eddie is extremely unprofessional and should be ashamed of himself for the way he acts with customers. I know better now and will find a more professional and competent company in the future. Think twice before using Fairfield landscaping.
