Our daughter has attended since she was about 6 months old (current 6 year old in the Kindergarten enrichment class). The following is my opinion: At the start, the school was wonderful and everything a parent could want for their child. They were attentive, communicative and were a true advocate for your childs education. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. Since COVID, things have gone downhill in a hurry and they havent recovered. Lack of quality teachers, even just a lack of teachers and staff in general, has been our experience for the last few years. There has been a constant revolving door of teachers, principals and assistant principals that has led to major inconsistencies in the care this center provides, meanwhile they justify raising rates every chance they get. Because of staffing issues, children are constantly grouped in lower age classrooms and not receiving the education that we were promised in their normal classrooms. The latest issue is Chesterbrook Academy breaching all Kindergarten enrichment parents contracts by discontinuing transportation to and from all of the elementary schools- a service clearly spelled out as an included service in our contracts with the school. They tried to do this on 2 weeks notice, but have now extended it to later this month, still not helpful in the middle of a school year. The affected parents have reached out in various ways and have received little to no response to our concerns. Our saving grace is that we are almost out of the daycare system for good, so we are riding this out until the current school year ends in May, otherwise we would have pulled our child and went somewhere else.

This is my review as a parent who had a child in their Pre-K program from late Aug- May 31st. Overall, this facility was a wonderful start for introducing my daughter to peers and school routines. We started off the year with one teacher whom we all loved, and she then had left by Dec for another job. Then due to not finding another pre-k teacher they had combined both pre-k classrooms with one head teacher and one assistant. This was fine, because in kindergarten the class size would be much bigger. Also in that time, there was some weird, border-line shady things going on with the current principal, and the previous principal had to come and take over until they could find a suitable replacement. I also saw in the months many teachers and assistants come and go. As many as 5 I believe. Nothing was ever said about them. The new principal they hired is very nice and friendly. Then I started to notice once Spring hit, that it seemed like my daughter was learning less and less. And when I would ask her she said they just played majority of the day. Then we got an email saying there was a teacher from the younger classes out on medical leave, so therefore the only pre-k teacher had to cover her class sometimes- so that sent my daughter and her classmates to the school-age classroom. All in all, it was a mostly positive experience, and I can see everyone tries their best to do as much as they can. I just hope they find adequate amount of staff one day for future families. They definitely need to get paid more to deal with all the children and their responsibilities.

Your children are NOT SAFE here!! They are not protected from a volatile family of boys. A 4 year old whom has assaulted an innocent little girl and he tried to kill his 2 younger brothers..a three year old (whom also exhibits the same behavioral patterns) and an infant brother. The facility claims theres a process in order to remove him that was well over two weeks in the making (I assume because a family member works there). I even contacted children in youth in Lancaster county and they called every day for over a week now and the facility refuses to return the phone calls. (Im sure they know that if they ignore them theyll go away and thats exactly what happened)! I pray that this child gets a psychological evaluation years of therapy and is ultimately physically removed from this facility!
