This company hired me to work for them as a contractor and after completing the work with no issues, they refused to pay. They complete work all across the country using contractors and then don't pay us. Awful.

Zero stars. These guys are a work-order farm that scams local 1099 contractors out of money. They provide horrible service to their clients and even worse support to their field techs. Stay away! Update 11/20/2023: As expected, the owner of this company writes a long winded reply that is complete nonsense. This company hired me to perform work at an office location that had been damaged by a fire. The owner implies that I only visited this site 2 times, when in reality I completed 6 total visits to this location. My experience on each visit was sub-par and unprofessional at best, with terrible coordination on the part of Wireless Essentials. I would be provided a scope of work to complete, and upon arriving to complete the work found that a completely different scope of work was required, and completely different materials. And I experienced this on 5 separate visits. They would then ask me to run around and find parts and materials for them with no regard for my schedule for the rest of the day. And their client who I was performing the work for was rude, uncooperative and would constantly chastise me for the issues that they were experiencing with other workers and vendors that had nothing to do with me, and upon notifying Wireless Essential of these constant issues, told me that I am "whining". This after the manager of the location told me that she would not step foot in the office (where I was working) herself due to health related issues as the building was still unsafe. The owner mentions me getting my truck washed, which was done after arriving on time for one of these visits, assessing the current state of the project, uploading photos to Wireless Essentials and then being told that they would need to call me back in 15 to 20 minutes because they had to again try to figure out why I was even at their work site again! So I literally drove 200ft across the street, went through a car wash, and then back across the street to the job site...10 minutes later. What bothers me the most is that I have completed probably 50 other work-orders over the last 3-years for this company, and was given a 5-star rating on each one. But when I raise issues with this specific job site which was having many, many issues that were out of my control, they insult me and put the blame for their own issues and the issues of their client on me. If I'm such a terrible and "whiney" tech, why agree to my 2-hour minimum for every work-order that I have ever completed for them, and then send me back to their work-sites over and over again? And then complain when they have to pay me for 2-hours of pre-agreed fixed labor after only being on-site for 45 minutes...because of their own inability to assess and coordinate in advance? To sum up, this business is having trouble staying in business, and the owner is lashing out at me over his own internal problems. I feel sorry for him and his staff, but need to warn his clients and other workers about the shady work ethic and issues with this company. Any reputable business would apologize and address the concerns raised, this one gets defensive and tries to blame everyone but themselves for their faults and problems.

Worked with the Company for my Wireless connections throughout my warehouse. Set up all cameras and corrected my incorrectly setup router/internet. Overall, they were very helpful. Customer service was excellent.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I found this company on Work Market. Work Market is a platform that technicians find computer work on. You dont have to be a real technician to sign up for Work Market and receive work. Thats why ex-cons and immigrants are signing up as technicians. Nobody checks. I chose a job for this company in Philadelphia. After doing the job the person that put the job on Work Market said I have to go back to fix the monitor or he will not pay me. I drove back to Philadelphia from Maryland and the customer told me that everything was fine with the monitor. I was confused. The person that put the work order on Work Market found several other excuses as to why I shouldnt be paid. After going back and forth with the manager of the work order for $100 I finally told him to keep the money and never choose me to work for him if he see my bid on Work Market again. I researched this company and I see they have done the same thing to several other technicians. They dont pay their techs. I see that this company have gotten paid for several jobs that they didnt finish, typical contractor. I went a little further in research and see the business seems to be a one man operation run from a little house in Traverse PA. He doesnt even have Technicians of his own. When he gets a sucker to agree to let him work on their equipment he chooses any random total stranger from Work Market and tells him to do the job. Why didnt I do my research first? If you happen to get suckered into this fraudulent company as a technician I suggest you ask for half pay up front. If you have a computer issue and need their service I suggest you dont pay them up front and ask the technician for company I.D. to be sure youre not dealing with a stranger. Watch your valuables. To be on the safe side CHOOSE A REPUTABLE COMPANY.

Business Response on Google Dec 10th, 2023
Karl,In our 12 years of servicing our customers, only you and one other tech has had an issue with us out of working with thousands of techs on service calls and projects. Our experience working with you recently is outlined below:Day 1: You showed up with no data jacks or wall plates- items that a network tech is typically expected to have with them. You left after less than an hour but charged us for 2 hours. I still paid you and didn’t charge our customer for 2 hours.Day 2: We called you after you checked in and were expected to be on the clock. You were washing your car across the street from the site on our time. You left the site in less than an hour but we paid you for the full hour again. Day 3: You cancelled less than 24 hours before the job claiming that the staff was rude to you on day 2 and it hurt your feelings. The job did not require you to interact with the staff but we’ve had no problems with them being rude previously. We don’t typically respond to Google reviews and don’t expect reviews (even good ones) from techs because we know they are out there busting their butts and that they are too busy. The tech that went out that replaced you had no issues and completed all the work you could not, no complaints about the staff either.
