image I was recently in the market for my first boat, and the Clews team helped me through every aspect of the process. As a new boat owner, there are so many questions and things to learn, and they helped me resolve everything as quickly as possible and remained supportive even after the sale. So glad I purchased my boat from them.

image I recently bought a SeaRay from Clews and Strawbridge dealership. Tom McCabe delivered my boat and his service and professionalism stood out to me. There was a small issue with the boat that needed Warranty repair. The dealership along with Sea Ray warranty department went above and beyond to resolve the issue. Chris Murray drive 2hrs to our lake to repair the problem. While at our lake he noticed another small issue on the prop where I had hit a rock and took the time to smooth it out and file the damaged area down it was a pleasure dealing with this highly customer focused team right from the sales experience with Jim Tasman to the delivery and repair. You can rely on these guys.

image Clews service shop is great. They have a mechanic that is very well educated and experienced in what he does. If you are in need of any type of help with your boat, the bearded mechanic is the one to see. He can fix any issues a boat is having along with being able to walk you through a detailed explanation of what happened and how to try and prevent it from happening again. If you need some tips and tricks on the best way to run your boat or how something on the boat works, he is able to help with that as well. He has so much knowledge and is definitely my go to guy.

image I purchased a very basic boat motor - a Yamaha 2.5HP - for my backwoods trips on a canoe. The dealership touted the Yamaha warranty, their service, and how they stand by their product. Well after 20 hours of use something occurred with the cooling system (likely the impeller) and it stopped pumping cooling water in the engine. It happened in fresh water, same as the first 20 hrs, and I have operated boats my whole life (aside from being in the Navy). Clews took it apart and said it was totaled (which is was) and said I can buy a new one if I like and that the warranty didn't apply. I learned that this dealership works for Yamaha and not the customer. Buyer beware - a warranty is nothing more than a piece of paper, and the dealer cares much more about their relationship with Yamaha than the customer. They will not fight for you. This was a simple $1000 dollar lesson and thank goodness I didn't purchase the $50K boat I was going to next season. They are all smiles and cheer before you sign the papers, and after that you're on your own. Most do not get off this easy.
