Employees seem to profile customers to me. Witnessed them ask a customer to leave an item at the counter while they were still shopping. Not sure why youd do this unless you were profiling that individual as a threat for potential theft. And I checked. The item was an inexpensive phone charger. It seemed to embarrass the individual tremendously. Disgusting. From other reviews this seems to be an issue at this store.

The people that work here are some of the most ill mannered and rude people Ive ever encountered in Philadelphia. During my last visit on 7/19/2019 at 9:26 pm (as per the receipt) there was one cashier working that did not greet us. She gave us a look that she was heavily annoyed that we were shopping there and did not speak to us during the transaction. At the end we thanked her and she did not say anything back, not even a youre welcome or no problem. Instead she gave us a look of annoyance. This cashier is clearly miserable to be working here and makes sure to make the store a miserable place for customers as well.

I rarely give bad reviews but, last night I went into the store and I felt singled out for no reason. The manager and the security kept an eye on me for no reason. Sure, I did take a lot longer trying to chose energy bars and get some other things from the first aisle where people probably try to just steal from but, I still didn't like being treated that way. I was in the cleaning aisle trying to get something and then, the security guy leaves his post at door and comes and asks me specifically if I need anything and I was holding something in my hand so I said that I was ok. I admit that I probably took longer than most customers. But, that was just cause I needed a lot of things and I also needed to chose certain and I'm not always very decisive. I did not like being singled out especially since I made a way bigger purchase than most people. I will definitely not go to this rite aid. The people at the one near me are a lot nicer. I used to go here when I was passing by before but, this was the first time they treated me in this way.
