By the looks of these comments I can see this is a dead end another agency funded by the government to help people and dont. Edit I spoke to someone 5 months ago and have yet to speak to her again THESE PROGRAMS ARE FUNDED BY THE GOVERNMENT AND THEY DONT DO WHAT THEIR SUPPOSED TO DO!!! I will be in contact with the state reps and anyone else to report this place because tax payers keep these places opened to help people who need the help and because this program is for people with disabilities they think this can be done.

Just like every other review says. This office makes trying to get services DIFFICULT. I have been going back and forth with this office since June of 2022, its been a year and my case is still on going with no clear end in sight. I have been in contact with 3 different counselors and none of them answer phone calls / voicemails and BARELY reply to emails. In my case, they say they havent seen the email or they will send in the wrong document, which I then have to wait even longer. I honestly feel helpless and want to give up even trying to obtain the service that I have been trying so hard to get. Im am only dealing with them because they are the only office in the city but if I could go any where else I would. I do not recommend.

My experience with Betty Rivera as my counselor was a hot mess. Keep in mind this woman has a P.h.D. But wouldnt read my transcripts and claim I needed 12 credits to be full time. VR had approved me to get support for grad school since the York office made horrible mistakes leaving me with zero support the majority of my undergraduate career. Betty immediately dismissed me and said when I am full time to reapply. She failed to process transactions (funds), leading me to withhold my transcripts from her (this got the job done thankfully) She would fail to read my emails, and claim I never reported a failure to receive funds. (It was there in black and white) The York office eventually transferred me back after I gave this counselor so many consequences for her actions. They are just as bad. I honestly wonder where the state finds these people, theyre idiots, they dont do things correctly, they require us as clients to clean up their mistakes, and the best part: There is zero accountability. I will be reporting a long letter to my state rep soon, but the supervisors have gotta supervise these counselors and give them consequences. Its unacceptable.

For those who are facing so many difficulties trying to get a response from the OVR office, HUNE is a non profit that help young adults in their transition to adulthood. They deal with the OVR office.

Those who dont care about the customer and dont fulfill their responsibilities properly, break the moral of disabled people
