The Evoluer House

As a former student of The Evoluer House, I am delighted to see that the mission of The Evoluer house still shines bright and far. I owe all of my current successes on the skills, mentorship and love Evoluer gave me as a teenager and I look forward to see what come next!

Evoluer House exceeds your typical non-profit. The success is seen in 100 percent of all graduates, girls of color from Philadelphia, going on to pursue higher education. They are leaders who are driven to help and serve their community. A great recent success story is a graduate becoming a Fulbright scholar. She also helps the organization by serving on its board. Our girls leave knowing that they must share their talents and the gifts given to them with others.

I affectionately call this organization "The Little Non-Profit That Could". I have worked with The Evoluer House for over a decade & the award winning summer programs offered to urban teen girls continues to exceed expectations, impacting the lives of those who need it most. A beautiful example of this is a young lady who came to us from Puerto Rico last summer. Her family was forced to move to Philadelphia because of Hurricane Maria. She was very shy. Her English was limited. After attending our 8 week summer program on a scholarship, she graduated at the top of her class, walking away with multiple awards. There are so many stories like hers, too numerous to mention. This little non-profit is able to do what it does with limited resources and love that exceeds lack. We are a remarkable story. We are on a mission that is bigger than the limitations that would cause others to walk away. We are purpose that must be fulfilled; creating a brighter tomorrow each and every day.
