Took a tour of an apartment I was interested in and was told it has a variable lease start date anytime from now till the end of June. I called two days later to apply for the apartment and was then told the latest I can start is the end of May. The person who talked to me was quite rude. Wasted my time and wouldn't have toured if I knew they didn't have any apartments within my desired start date.

A wonderful place to live in heart of East Liberty. It's been almost a year since I first moved to the US and found a place that I can call home at Walnut on Highland. My family and I (including our puppy) felt very welcome, and our transition to here was smooth and friendly thanks to the amazing management team. They are incredibly friendly and helpful, all emails and doubts are clarified in the moment and all maintance request are conducted quickly and effectly, even in the middle of the night. It's definitely a happy place to live!

The units (Penn building at least) and location are great. The rent/value ratio was very good in my opinion and I lived there 6 years. The staff was also great during COVID times and I really appreciated that. But what I will say is during my last year or so there the "greed" walnut is often accused of felt very strong. I felt very nickle and dimed when it came to ending my lease and move out. The staff overall there was great especially when it came to maintenance requests. It was more one specific person in the office I had issues with, and I never had any with the other great people who worked there.

We did offer an alternative option with the same floor plan for a July move-in. However, as we communicated previously, we do not hold apartments, and since you waited to fill out the application, it was leased to another applicant.We want to assure you that we do our best to accommodate our prospects' needs and operate on a first-come, first-served basis. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your understanding.
