Over priced. These are donated items and definitely not worth what they charge.

One of the first places we visited when moving to Pittsburgh. Love browsing the variety of selections! Extremely affordable prices too.

I write this post with a heavy heart. I really use to love going here (pre COVID). This was my first visit post COVID, and I'm really disappointed with the prices of reclaimed materials. I feel like the only reason they are successful is because of their location in an inner city environment. Prices are maybe 10% less than if you bought brand new. Appliances, can buy new for same prices when on sale, and there is a warranty. They have signed everywhere that there are no returns and no guarantees on appliances. It's more of a FAD store at this point. People are more than willing to pay top dollar to say they bought reclaimed. But the "new" price with guarantees isn't much different.

I have come here many times. Found great pre-used items. An old wall mount sink from a public school $25, now there's one listed for $149.00. A door for $50, now an interior door is labeled vintage and listed for $150.00. A used kitchen cabinet set, outdated but decent condition $400.00 Recently, these donated items are starting to be close to retail pricing. As an example old metal wall cabinet probably from UofP's 1960's labs was $145.00. Yes, it's a nice cabinet. But I don't know how that markup is possible. You have great things, but the price points are not palatable any longer. As a 501C I think you could reconsider the pricing. Upcycling is an excellent platform. If you feel you have some items that are truly antique - maybe open a separate section. But charging almost market price for items that were donated isn't sitting well with several people. Please reconsider the trend you are heading in.
