*revising after the errors were corrected and speaking with another one of the owners - Mike Hanley. The cleaners came back out and did a top notch job. Tina is one of the absolute best at communication and she is very kind. She and another cleaner (Mina) came back out and finished the job and made sure to correct any errors from the initial cleaning. Mike called and we resolved the matter and he was also extremely kind and understanding. This speaks volumes of some of the employees of this company - correcting the mistakes and resolving the matter in a professional manner. Thank you Tina and Mina for returning and exceeding my expectations. I am 7 months pregnant and cleaning has become a little more difficult for me or I never wouldve reached out to this company. I was looking for help in the Pittsburgh area that was efficient and affordable for one of our new rentals. The cleaner I spoke with (Christina) was clear and communicated effectively and was very pleasant to work with. The one star review is mainly for the owner, Frank Polito. When I contacted him we had discussed cleaning services for a rental and he initially stated they would work with me at $40 an hour for reoccurring cleanings (for Airbnb). The next call he said they wouldnt do the air bnb cleanings but would do the deep clean of the apartment for $50 an hour. We agreed upon this and I have it in writing - a text message from him. Fast forward to the cleaning being finished - four hours of cleaning and an invoice for $400 not including sales tax. I asked why it doubled and his wife stated it was $50 per hour per cleaner - which I was unaware of. Taking the price to $100 an hour without my knowledge. I asked her for clarification and she said she would have Frank call me. (No issues here, she wasnt rude at all) I assumed it was a misunderstanding but fully intended on paying. Frank called and was EXTREMELY rude. He began saying he has the same pitch to every customer and he was very clear it was $50 an hour for the deep clean. I explained that I understood but I wasnt aware it was going to be multiple cleaners at $50 per person, per hour - making it $100 an hour. I never once stated that I would not pay the invoice, I was just looking for clarification from what we agreed upon. Frank immediately changed his tone and said we can come to an agreement on price but we will never do work for you again. This caught me completely off guard, I was never rude to him, I was never rude to his employees or his wife. I asked why the price doubled because I didnt know. Instead of coming to an understanding and just acknowledging that maybe he forgot to mention it would actually be $100 an hour, he immediately assumed I was trying to get out of paying for the service - because he is obviously not someone who makes mistakes and the only logical explanation was that I was trying to pull a fast one on him. Even though I have the message where he quoted me at $50 an hour and he never mentioned there would be more than one person (increasing the price). We are reliable and hardworking people and I really did not appreciate being talked to the way I was. The hostility was completely unnecessary and the conversation did not need to unfold the way it did. So no worries Frank, we dont want you to do work for us again at any of our rentals and we will not recommend you to anyone else. Note - We did pay in full for the services because I would never take money away from someone who completed a service for me. Im sure the cleaners wont see all of the $428 we paid but I wasnt risking them not getting paid for their work. We live an hour away so when we finally were able to start moving stuff in the place was far from deep cleaned. I wasnt going to write a review but after the way Frank treated me on the phone and after seeing what $428 gets you, I feel others should be aware. An apology wouldve been sufficient.
