The Maverick by Kasa

Im pretty big on reviews. Im a little bit torn here because Kasa is a lovely location. I believe the rigidity in their rules is what sets them apart. The rooms are clean and everyone is expected to respect their property. Im not sure how often this happens, but I wanted to share my story. Im very by the book. I have spent my entire life coloring inside the lines. Its just my personality. lol. I had an awesome stay with my husband. We got in late and left around 10. The room is beautiful and tidy. I did my usual stripping the bed and emptying the trash and went about my business. The shower didnt get hot, but things happen. I can assure you that is probably not how it usually is. I still give them 5 stars. This is the part that is honestly confusing to me. We attended a cookout before we headed to the air bnb. There was some smoking there. I personally dont smoke but my husband does. So anyways, I got an email saying that I will never be able to stay here because we were allegedly smoking in the room. I attached the email I received. I asked where this came from and he said the room smelled like smoke and it was reviewed by the highest level and remain final. I saw someone else got the same sort of communication when accused of breaking a table. I understand with a unit that has multiple rooms you kind of just have to be decisive. However, Im 31 years old. I have two kids. I know its not an automatic to be mature enough to not disrespect someones property with those characteristics. But I have home training, and I would NEVER smoke in someones space (because I dont smoke) but I also wouldnt allow my husband to either because why is that even necessary? Maybe this review is more cathartic than helpful, because I really dont get in trouble often lol. Theyre running a business here, and they can work incredibly hard to make you feel welcomed but at the end of the day.. they dont know you. And you truly cannot advocate for yourself once an accusation comes against you. So if you are a smoker or have a friend who is a smoker. Maybe dont stay here. They were still very friendly and respectful. I do recommend them still, but its unfortunate that my trip ended that way.

Absolutely loved the experience at the Maverick. Room was very relaxing, the provided couch and bluetooth speaker made for a very chill environment. Hotel was incredibly quiet, didn't really see or hear any other guests during our stay. Beautiful building and great views.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. This is a virtual service hotel, meaning there is NO front desk at the location! They never sent me an email about check in instructions, and when I got here, I couldn't even enter the hotel. I had to wait by the door for a long time and call them to help me out.

Very cute and stylish room. The building is beautiful! Enjoyed the convenience of self check in and out. Beds weren't too comfortable though. Also, there was an event we weren't informed of until the morning of, which we thought should have been sooner. Would still book again.
