H&R Block, Block Advisors (small business)

If you are self-employed, HR Block and Krista Henney are not the people to see. HR Block advertises they are transparent with their pricing and guarantee 100% accuracyit's on the website. I chose Krista Henney because it said on her profile she is "small business certified." Unfortunately, I got the complete opposite on all 3 of these, hence the reason for the review. I called both corporate and the local branch to see roughly (I did not expect the exact amount) how much it would be to file two 1099's, and both could not provide an answer other than "We can tell you once you come into the branch." I went into the branch, and we did the taxes still not even having a rough estimate. The overall experience was bare bones, plugging some numbers into the computer and, along the way, having issues with several write-offs, which I know I was able to receive as a self-employed person. Krista Henney changed the price at the last minute. She gave me one price when we were finishing up, and then printed a receipt showing a completely different price. She charged me almost $600 for less than an hour, and also did my boyfriend's taxes incorrectly for over $700! I have never paid this much for such poor knowledge of how taxes work. To top it off, weeks after the IRS contacted my boyfriend, letting him know his taxes were done incorrectly! The first thing she said to me when I sat down and told her about my taxes was, "You know you could do this yourself." I knew right then I should have left. The whole experience was awful, and my boyfriend and I walked away feeling completely ripped off.

Went to go get my taxes done last minute but I didnt know I was going to be charged $190 for 1 w2 seeeshhh. Other than that she was very helpful.

Jonathan has been doing my taxes for 5 years he is outstanding he explains everything clearly and answers all my questions never had a issue and that is why i will be back next year!
