        H&R Shadyside - specifically Alex Kaskey, is a condescending prick who upset my girlfriend to literal tears for making her feel dumb. If she knew what she was doing with her taxes she wouldnt be coming to you and you wouldnt have a job so how about be nice to the people who are the reason you have a job? Will never recommend this place and especially him to anybody who wants to make their taxes a seamless and stress free process.

        Will never recommend to anyone going forward. Total lack of communication. On multiple days, multiple times, cannot get a single person to return my phone call. After several weeks and speaking to a supervisor, my federal return is completed. Despite only living in PA for less than 5 months, they were trying to make my husband and I pay a year worth of taxes in addition to what our employers withheld automatically. Response to everything is Pennsylvania is a commonwealth. There is no difference between a commonwealth and a state. According to PA own treasury website, I am not required to pay taxes on money earned while not a resident of Pennsylvania. If I did it they way they wanted, I would have to pay over $4,000 in taxes in addition to what I have already paid via my employer. After additional calls with no response, I went and picked up my documents and will complete the rest on my own. Will never use any H and R block and will never recommend it to anyone I know.
