Genesis Caf Restaurant 23

Great food nice place to eat and reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow but other than that I enjoyed the food. The staff was very nice and inviting.

One of the best Mofongos I have had in the Schuylkill area which shocked me because it was ready quickly but the plantain and pork in it tasted fresh. The order was 15+ dollars for plaim Mofongo and salad. My only suggestion is more salad. The salad was literally four bites of shredded iceberg lettuce and a tomato slice (the style is traditional and all goodit just needed more salad for the price) so I wouldnt call it a salad more like a garnish. I did appreciate their white vinegar and oil dressingclassic. I would be happy to try more of the menu items! My family enjoys a good take out puerto rican meal when we dont have time to cook which is hard to find around the area as its mostly mexican or dominican cuisine but I did enjoy this place!

Super glad to have discovered this new restaraunt today so close to home. I got the beef option for my dinner plate and it came with salad and a delicious soup. I've missed Latin food very much and now I've got a new go to spot when I crave it . Check them out, Good food and friendly people!
