Washington County General Info

I found it very difficult to get information by phone. I sold a mobile home and purchased another. I have the new title but I cannot do anything without going to the courthouse in person. That is very difficult for me, not close and I do not drive much. Why can't it be done on line or by phone with a photocopy? I find I feel like I am annoying them when I call to ask a question.

Modern conveniences - like voice mail - are lacking, and you'd better have a few hours available if you need to call certain offices in this courthouse for help or information. If you are a local and can actually show up at the courthouse personally, or if they know you or your family, personally, you might actually get somewhere. But if your family is dead, you live out of state and are trying to obtain information or help, you are just flat out-of-luck. Sheer frustration. A piece of advice: if your family members live in Washington County and you live out of state, don't let them die in Washington County. You don't want to deal with this place as an Executrix: it is Dante's Tenth Circle of Hell. Just sayin'.
