Comfort Inn Meadowlands

The rooms are a little dated. Everything was ok for late arrival and early departure

I will never stay at this hotel again. The room was absolutely appalling. The shower was extremely grimy with spots of black mold. Right when my wife and I walked into the room it smelled like someone had just smoked a pack of cigarettes. Told the lady at the front desk (who was quite miserable) and she said she couldn't move us to another room but that she would take 50% off the bill. That never happened. Dodnt realize it until a couple months later when I was looking through my bank statement. Called to find out what was going on. Front desk looked through the logs and literally read out loud the events of the night including the promise of 50% off. Said she'd call the manager.. no call back. I called again couple days later and said they said they were trying to get in touch with Expedia and it could take a couple days. No call back. I called again and the manager who was very rude said their was nothing they could do about it cause it was booked through a 3rd party. I then said they shouldn't be promising comps they can't keep. She said there was nothing in the log about a 50% comp which was a blatant lie because I literally was read the log on the phone. She asked who I spoke with that night and I told her. She said she'd call her to see what the deal was. I got no call back. Called again today and was pretty much told to go screw myself because there is nothing they can do about it. Blamed it on the third party booking. But Expedia has nothing to do with the state of their establishment, which again was appaling.

Always a great stay. The staff is always on point and I love the pool !! Noteworthy details: I love the pool and the staff here
