McCarrell's Tax Service

Very rude, missed our tax appointment due to a family emergency, called only 20 min past our scheduled time and ask to receive a phone call back to reschedule. Did not receive call back so I called back. Woman answered and I told her the story and she said " there's no more appointments!" OK hung up !!!!!!!

My wife and I have been going to McCarrells for years. Never a problem. This year (2023) we received a notice from the state that we owed an extra $300 for our 2021 tax return. We have made at least 5 calls to McCarrells to get to the bottom of the problem. No return calls from Wally. I called and spoke with Bill about the issue. He said he would look into the problem and call me back. The call back didnt happen. I guess we are on our own.

I went there for years. Then in 2020 my son also went. One of the McCarrell's processed his taxes but somehow submitted his income three times, and now the IRS is sending penalty letters and says he owes $16,909.00. It has taken several calls to get a response and they are supposed to be taking care of it... But we'll see. I will never go there again.
