An extremely poor experience. Called to replace about 18 in-ceiling lights, some with dimmable LEDs and the others to be smart lights such as from Govee or Phillips both of which I already have; one of these sockets makes a click, turning off and on; and replace some outdoor outlets. 1. In correspondence they do not use any common courtesies such as a greeting, addressing the customer by name, thanking them for their business, or apologizing for any problems. Definitely rather off-putting not to practice the basics of good social interactions and customer service. 2. Both when they came for the job, and then to pick up lighting that didn't work they arrived hours ahead of when they were expected without warning. 3. Rather than go with companies whose smart lights I already had, they suggested another brand. I trusted their professional recommendation and that was a mistake as they were unfamiliar with the lighting system which wouldn't turn on. They were unable to provide any support or trouble-shooting why that would be. It took hours searching the internet for this uncommon product's trouble-shooting guide. It would only work on 2.4GHz WiFi network, not the more modern 5GHz. Today not being dual-band is a cost-cutting measure. Now, I know about such things, have a dual-band router, and how to switch between them, but I would suspect most other senior citizens wouldn't have a clue even if they were able to find the product information online. But even then, they simply wouldn't work, and I had to communicate with the manufacturer to confirm they wouldn't work at all on my home WiFi. 4. There were no apologies for this, no expressions of concern or urgency to make it right and get replacements in... leaving my living room without lighting over the Thanksgiving weekend. I ended up ordering and replacing those lights myself. 4. Socket continues to click and turn light off and on. BC Electric doesn't follow up. Another company came and fixed it. They got a good review.

I made an appointment with B. C. Electric to trouble shoot why I wasn't receiving power to my already installed Ring Floodlight Camera. I had already checked the most basic portion of did the breaker trip with no success. Bobby and Dave arrived at 2pm on 4/28 and went to work. After trying a few things I was informed they removed the GFCI breaker controlling the lights around my pool, the type of breaker wasn't needed. I had concerns about adequate lighting for my insurance and it was suggested a second motion sensing flood light and 2 photocell be installed, keeping my 2 lamp post at the deep end of my pool. I am not an electrician and did not have immediate access to one so I trusted the two in front of me. Everything was completed in 1.5 hours and the gentleman assured me they felt the issue had been resolved but encouraged me to call back if not. The left my property at 3:37pm. By 5:37 the problem had resumed. I called and left a message while driving into work. At 2:23pm on 4/29 the gentlemen arrived back at my home to troubleshoot. Having not spoke with anyone fro. B.C. Electric about scheduling a return time, I was caught off gaurd but happily let the man in as I stood in my robe (I work night shift and had been woken up). The gentleman informed me the wiring they couldn't locate previously was located and they were trouble shooting it. I walk on my back porch to them drilling a hole in my support beam, they did not ask first. They disconnected the two lamp post on the deep end of my pool and said I would have to pay to have them reconnected. Bad gut feeling told me to reach out to my Dad, who then connected in an electrician of 40 years and city inspector. Who was not please with what I was telling him. One of the gentleman became very unprofessional when asked questions about the service stating "I know how electricity works" and was meet with "So do I, I have been doing it for 40 years" his body language and demeanor quickly deteriorated and the other gentleman said I had to call the office and they needed to leave. I bid them good day, finished my conversation with my people then called the office. I was told I my card would be credited for the photocells they installed the day before and disconnected today. I reminded them I paid with a check and he said ok, I will check with the office. It wasn't address by him again. I ask the gentleman I was transferred to, assuming a manager, and he said it was credited to you bill for today. We went back and forth before I realized I wasn't getting anywhere. I was then informed no to do anything with my pool until I had a city inspector come check their work. The National Electric code calls for the GFCI breakers under special locations and swimming pools. They had admittedly removed mine and denied doing an Amp test but told their boss otherwise. Day 1 was $360, $105 for parts and $255 for Labor Day 2 was suppose to be another charge that they decided not to pursue while I had an Electrician verifying their process over the phone. I am reaching out to have a city inspector come out and another electrician for a second opinion and my pool is out of commission until this is all settled. It's disheartening to see they have over 4 stars in reviews and I was unfortunate enough to see why they don't have 5. Everyone can't have a great experience but I would have been happy if they at least kept their word. My camera is functional at the moment but I was told it could stop and they would charge me to come back out. Edit: An electrician, not employed by you, told me not to do anything with my pool until I have an inspector check it since the GCFI breaker was removed. And please feel free to list which 10% is correct or your perspective Services: Electrical outlet & switch repair, Outdoor lighting installation
