I ordered a book almost a month ago on May 3rd and it has been almost a month and no book has arrived. No email to notify me if book has even been sent.. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Zero reliability!!! Beware of Better World Books!!

I accidentally came across this company while searching for sellers on some of the very old books that I was looking for. I always hesitated looking for books online that doesn't offer pictures of the actual book. To my surprise, the books arrive in condition as expected or exceeded my expectations. In my book order, 1 book was not available and 2 arrived in paperbacks instead of hardcovers. Since I collect hardcover books, the paperbook version does not work for me. For the book that was not available, I received an e-mail quickly with a status. For the books that were incorrectly sent, I submitted a ticket/case, and got a response within 24 hours. After several correspondences, including an offer to discount the price I paid at 50%, they issued a refund and I didn't have to send the paperbacks back. The refund was issued within days after I was informed that the book was unavailable and after the case was closed. The transaction was good, and I am happy with the way this company does business. Great customer service. This positive experience gave me the reassurance I needed to continue to do business with this company. One of the great things about this company is that they donate books to help reduce illiteracy. One thing to note: at check out, there are 2 donations available - one for carbon and one for archive. Each is only a few cents. The carbon was checked by default while the archive one was not. The 2 check boxes are displayed below of the book total on the right and above the grand total. If you want to support or don't want to support, look for these 2 checkboxes and check/uncheck accordingly.
