EXTREMELY negligent. My aunt was only there three days and fell MULTIPLE times and was left on the floor for HOURS her very first night. I explained that she is on blood thinners and needs to be seen in an ER immediately if she fell and was told she is under their physicians care and they dont see a need for her to go. Finally a couple days later after yet ANOTHER fall they decided to send her out and come to find out she had MULTIPLE broken and fractured ribs and was brought into the ICU. My aunts call light did not work in her room and that wasnt determined until I noticed over 24 hours later or her being there, her tv did not work at all and was told five days later was the soonest someone could look at it so she was left in silence in a brand new place, she is a fall risk and had NO alarms on her bed or chair. Her personal physician called them for me to touch base and communicate her care PER MY REQUEST and was also given attitude because their fax machine wasnt receiving the faxes her office sent over multiple times. She was only there for a very short period of time and from start to finish it was extremely discouraging. DO NOT send your loved ones here unless they are extremely independent!

My family opted for SCM for my grandmother's rehab after a hospital stay because we knew people who have worked there for many years, people spoke Portuguese and it was close to home. We were quite surprised how well she did with PT and the transition in general. Due to medical issues, she had to transition to long term care. While no facility is without issues, we had no major complaints. They have some of the most amazing, caring staff. We were there daily and not only was my grandmother well cared for, but all residents appeared to be. Placing a loved one is not an easy decision but it did help to know she was in caring hands.
