SavATree was founded by Ralph Robbins in 1978 with a single objective in mind; to save trees from the devastating effects of repeated defoliations by the Gypsy Moth Caterpillar (Lymantria dispar). While this moth was accidentally introduced into the United States by French entomologist Leopold Trouvelot in 1868, it was not until the late 1970's that the population exploded in the Northeast. Ralph, a graduate of Paul Smith's college and entrepreneur at heart, saw an opportunity to make a difference in support of tree preservation and care.

Did not finish the job at home and have failed to respond to my repeated request to return. Would not recommend.

I just had a consultation with an arborist (my first). I thought I needed to cut down my tree, but after a no-show from a tree service, I decided to get an expert opinion. I didn't want to cut it down, only if it was necessary. Well, Jack Craig came out, educated me about the tree and trees in general. Took a walk through my backyard jungle and made me feel good about some of the things I have been doing. Turns out, I don't need to cut the tree down and I am VERY HAPPY about that. A HUGE burden off my mind. Although I didn't need their services just yet, I HIGHLY recommend Jack Craig though SAVATREE. In the future, I will be looking to him for expert tree service. THANK YOU!

Herb Kaiser and his crew were professional, courteous and helped with first a consultation to examine the tree on my property as the last thing I wanted to do was lose the tree and the shade. But with nothing to be done for it, his crew came in as scheduled and with not a lot of room for error due to neighbors fences on 3 sides, dropped it and cleaned the site. Top notch service and will be using them again for any tree service needs I have in the future. Service: Tree removal

They have cared for my 100 year plus Copper Beech for several years, as well as planted a few new trees as well. High recommended. Services: Tree trimming & pruning, Tree planting
