We stayed at the guesthouse over July 4th weekend, and loved every minute of it.
The guesthouse itself is beautifully appointed and when you are there, you feel like you are part of a large family. The weather was so cool, we even kept the windows open during the night, and slept soundly.
Lisa is a great host, and even drove us down to the boat since we arrived late for our tour. Cant wait to visit once again and stay at the Lionel Champlin!

We loved the location, the facilities, the decoration and the breakfast. Best of all is the lovely caring nature of the owner Lisa. We will definitely be back for another visit. I can't say enough kind words about Lisa and her pristine, beautiful house. It's a lovely place to stay in Jamestown. It's warm and welcoming with lots of character and comfort. Lisa is a great host, she was always available, always friendly, and always working to make sure all of her guests were happy. 100% worth staying at the Lionel Champlin Guest House!

Stayed on the third floor. Gorgeous views of the water, sailboats and the Newport bridge. This charming 19th century building has been renovated for the comforts of a 21st century audience. Plenty of plugs, a quiet air conditioner, large, light bathroom and multiple windows to catch the breeze off the bay. The owner is so helpful and provides many extras like beach towels and bakery made breads. Truly a relaxing 5 days. I would highly recommend this place.
