Gregory, has tremendously helped my musically inclined son correct his finger board hand positioning as well as bow hold. He pays attention to posture, setting hands and advocates for theory knowledge, sight reading skills. He has own methodology and doesn't wait years to teach scales as well as tuning. During COVID19 year he has taught online and children even with unique needs, such as my 2E son, actually made significant progress. We all can understand how impressive it is and how difficult to teach tuning or proper hand positioning for violin through the screen. I would definitely recommend Gregory, especially for students who strive in structured and challenging learning environment. Gregory uses very individualized curriculum per each child's or adult students needs. He teaches all levels, can prepare your high-school student for music college and concervatory auditions as well as give feedback to professional violinists (master class style). He maybe strict, but he is also compassionate, creative and has tools to regain students interest if they get lost. He also teaches theory, music composition, improvisation, and piano (his 2nd instrument).
