First, I would like to say Dr. Rubee is amazing. If she had her own one woman practice I would be a patient for life. This review is based on experiences I had before she joined the practice and appointments that didn't need her involvement or she wasn't available for. In the beginning of being a patient I was actually quite happy. I had numerous good experiences and then the saga of misery began. After being told for the fifth appointment/oral exam in a row that everything looked great I developed a minor toothache. I went back to have it investigated and was told I suddenly had all kinds of problems that had never once been mentioned to me in two years of being a patient. (This was also just six weeks after I was declared stable and told that I had zero problems.) They then had me come in TWELVE times in nine months which included two surgeries. Now, a dozen appointments and over six thousand dollars worth of dental work later I'm worse than I was before. A good fifty percent of what I had done feels like it wasnt done correctly and/or was possibly unnecessary or too extreme. They managed to fully drain me for my sizable amount of yearly insurance by as early as March. I now have to wait till next year for my insurance to reset so that I can get help elsewhere without having to spend a fortune. It's normal to have a little pain for a few days after dental work. It's not normal to be in persistent lingering pain for months and months especially when there was little to no pain to begin with. It's also not normal to be dismissed as being fine for years and then get told you need everything humanly possible done out of the blue. The fact that they billed my insurance top dollar to make me feel worse is literally the definition of adding insult to injury. I thankfully found a nice little in network family owned practice right in my neighborhood that's willing to take me on next year. I also thankfully have a strong array of pain medication to hold me over till then. I feel like getting away from this practice is a positive step for my overall oral, physical and mental health.
