Awful practice, my first appointment the PA had a horrible bed side manner and just did not seem interested in her job. Then I proceeded to do my prerequisites in order to get the surgery and this office never follows up, never reaches out to providers for results or myself to make appointments. I would never consider bariatric surgery with this practice because god forbid I need to call of a concern or actually have an issue I will never be able to get in contact with no one.

Dr. Beth Ryder and her P.A are great. They listen to all your concerns and real address them. Everything has been timely and smooth. Also Id like to acknowledge how kind the gentleman at the front desk is. Greets with a smile and makes you feel so welcomed.

Unprofessional! I previously started the process for bariatric surgery in 2020 but decided to not go through with it when the surgeon (Dr. V) I had been working with for 7 months decided to leave the practice and I was informed but 2 weeks before my final blood work via a mailed in letter. Being left in limbo, I didn't feel comfortable having another surgeon perform my surgery who I hadn't built rapport with. It's now 2023 & I decided to embark on the journey once again. My provider sent a referral first week of July (in front of me).I called them 3 weeks later as I never heard from them, only to be told the referral was never filed but I could start the process on their website. I did the online orientation & per the orientation you will hear back from them in 2-4 weeks. I patiently waited but by 4 weeks heard nothing so I decided to call. I was told someone should have reached out but none-the-less they could schedule me for a telehealth visit with the surgeon. I was given an October 13th visit at 9:45am (6 weeks later) and was told I would be emailed the new patient packet which would need to be faxed back or brought in before my visit. I was never sent anything. I finally called at the beginning of the week to request they be sent to me so I could fax the paperwork back before my appointment. At this time I also verified my appt was on Friday 10/13 @ 9:45 am. To my surprise, unlike other doctor's offices (including the one I work for) they do not call to remind you of your appointment even though they have plenty of receptionists! The day of my appointment I called at 9:35am because I wanted to make sure they had the correct cell # on file since I changed it since I was last a patient. I was told I was all set. 9:45 came and went & I received no call. At 10am I called the office and was told the P.A. I was scheduled with (Elisa) was probably backed up but if I didn't hear from her by 10:30 to call back. I called back @10:45 and was told she probably didn't call because I had paperwork in my file from 2020 so she would probably use that but to keep waiting and they would message her to ask if she was still calling me but if I didn't hear from her by 1PM to call back. I called once again @ 1:30 and was told she isn't answering any of the receptionists emails so they weren't sure why she wasn't calling but she also wasn't sure why I was scheduled with her for the morning when she only takes afternoon appointments. I informed her I was originally told my appointment was with the surgeon not a PA. She assured me she was going to call her as soon as we hung up and she would call me back to update me. I called back at 3:45PM after not hearing back from anyone. The receptionist stated no one could give me an answer as to why I never got a call but I would probably get one by end of day. I informed her it was almost end of day & this had now effected me at work as I work in a doctor's office answering patient calls and was unable to take calls because I was waiting for Elisa to call me. She then stated I was probbly called at my home # instead of my cell phone but she couldn't be sure. I explained I don't have a home # to which she mentioned my old # (the morning receptionist listed my old # as my home # instead of removing it from my file). The receptionist then said the most she could do was reschedule me. She put me on hold and then told me the earliest appointment I could now be given is Nov. 8th! I explained this was unacceptable because I've already waited over 3 months from the time the referral was sent to them to even have this appointment all for the provider to not even call and now I have to wait another month. She stated it was either that or end of December. I asked to speak with an office manager and was told she already did for me. Last time I went through this process it took 7 months from referral to final blood work. At this rate it's going to take 6 months to even start nutrition visits! I'll be calling my PCP Monday morning to get a referral to KENT because this practice has certainly gone down hill!
