My two granddaughters have been attending Dr. Day Care South County for about six months now. The staff is amazing and takes wonderful care of both of them . Knowing they are safe and well taken care of puts my mind at ease. I attended the family bbq/ carnival and seeing how much fun the families and children had I new the directors and teachers really cared about their families.

At first, we were very impressed with the quality of the staff and administration, such as with Andrea D. The teachers and staff truly cared about the kids and were so invested. The staff was willing to problem solve, was highly responsive, warm and inviting. However, apparently this company is grossly political and have forced out staff and administration over petty altercations. As such, there is currently next to NO staff at this site with very tenuous plans to rectify the situation. Hiring is difficult for all companies currently, but the current situation is very mishandled. The current "acting admin" will lie to you about occurrences in the day and not disclose information relevant to my child's care. Administration have explicitly told teachers to NOT talk to parents or answer parent questions! Amy Vogel is a terrible representation/lead for this company, who mishandled parents and teachers concerns, and initiated a poor direction for the company to go in. The problem starts with poor accountability and ends hiding mishandled situations. The ones who suffer are the children we entrust in your care. As someone involved in the treatment of youth, I am extremely dissatisfied and will not be returning to Dr. Daycare.

I've had my kids at the South County center since 2016. My daughter went from infant room all the way until she started kindergarten. My son is presently in the toddler room. I literally cannot express how happy I am with this center. Andrea and Anne, the admins, are awesome and just love on all those kids. The rest of the staff that have had my children have always been very loving, kind, and friendly. When my daughter and I go pick up my son, she is greeted like a long lost friend. It's like a big family.

Edit to review: Yes I worked here as a teacher (for two months) and yes they still tried doing all this stuff. When the director would discuss the issues she wouldn’t discuss these issues, it would be discussing and turning things around on me...the discussions in her office had nothing to do with her fixing what her teachers are doing to my child!!! They care more about protecting employees and there circle of friends before loving and caring about the children!!! Here’s an example: My sons lead teacher was mad at me, so when I dropped him off one morning she didn’t acknowledge me, OR MY SON! How can you have the audacity to ignore the needs of a child for the day because your mad at the parent???? At least listen to what the child needs for the day knowing there’s not another teacher in there to discuss his needs with...Did that teacher get anything said to her about that, no, the director sat there rubbing her shoulder when I said something to the lead teacher in front of the director about it....NO MATTER HOW UPSET YOU ARE WITH A PARENT YOU DO NOT IGNORE NEEDS OF THE CHILD FOR THE DAY....THE CHILDREN COME FIRST! but it’s not ok for parents to worry about there child’s well being. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!!! The teachers will allow older infants to physically hurt younger infants. When the parent brings it to the teachers attention the teacher states “he’s just giving hug.” And continues to let it happen. Pinning another child to the floor folded in half is not a hug. Continually pushing a child to the ground is not a hug. When you request not to have your younger infant with that older infant, the teachers will all gang up on you and tell you how hard it is for them at the end of the night....the director will allow things like this to happen as well..she encourages it. NEWS FLASH: The children’s health and well being come before getting teachers out at the end of the night so they dont hit overtime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, if you provide water for your child, the teachers will still give them tap water, when the parents complain they are the issue not the teacher. When a child can’t get an afternoon nap because the infant teacher has to take the babies for walk to pick up school aged kids across the street and the parents complain it’s a problem. If you providing size 5 diapers because that’s the size your child wears and you complain when he comes home in a size 3, the parent is the problem, not the teacher. (The director will write you a message stating how he has size 4 diapers which I have NEVER provided land will need more, but my have my diaper bag with diapers in it right in the classroom...still don’t know what happened to all the diapers I’ve been providing). They do a lot of hiding things and covering things up in there little tadpole app! It’s sick! When the child isn’t drinking formula or milk because they refuse to warm it up knowing the child WILL NOT drink it at refrigerator temperatures yet the parents the problem complaining, not the teacher. (In my eyes that’s neglect on a child). But the director will come to terms that the family has too many needs and request from the center and will terminate your child. Unfortunately my list can go on. DO YOURSELF BIGGEST FAVOR AND SEARCH FOR CHILDCARE ELSEWHERE!!!!
