        Credit and income requirement are extremely hard to qualify for, and even if you manage it, their rules for deferment based on student status are exclusionary and parasitic. Student loans are a scam!

        I've had my ups and downs with customer service with RISLA. I was with them for 10 plus years with many changes and updates. Those were never handled properly. Last few years though customer service has been rough and ruder than ever. I finally paid off my loan and got no confirmation email or any notice. I had to call and ask if my balance is officially zero and the rep didn't even say congratulations to me which I thought was ridiculous considering the way the interest rates were changing daily for years making it like near impossible to pay this loan off. Whatever. Thank god I'm done.

        They come up with solutions to actually help with the changes and circumstances in your life and it's very refreshing to speak with them. They communicate well, email timely, and are very helpful. I had a really positive experience dealing with a negative situation and I'm very thankful.
