Dermatology Associates of the Lowcountry

Was scarred permanently by Cassandra Beard at this facility. Presented with wide spread Shingles rash requesting some sort of medicated relief and felt patronized. My pain and discomfort was off the charts literally bringing tears to my eyes. They said they would sample some skin cells as she didn't believe it was shingles. Before I even knew what was happening, she performed 2 huge puncture biopsies. Not only did I not receive any results from the biopsies that left 2 ugly scars in a very prominent place, but the staff also never even phoned in my prescription! Wish I had NEVER gone here. Everyone I saw there had unnatural looking taut facial skin and big lips so I assume they specialize in cosmetic procedures as so many dermatologists do these days.

I was so happy to finally have seen an actual doctor. I have been going to May River Derm. for 4 years and never saw a doctor. Dr Beard is the physician I saw. She was thorough and she also did surgery on a basal cell carcinoma which is healing quite nicely. I also had a lot of concerning raided skin discoloration so, instead of freezing them she had me do a complete face and chest cream treatment. That worked out without any scarring or discoloration. My experience has been pleasant and informative and it cost the same that it cost at May River dermatology with better care. Front office was more attentive and more pleasant than May River Derm. I rarely write reviews so this must have been exceptional for me.

Taylor was my PA she was very professional and helped ease my mind. Also the whole staff is awesome. Highly recommended!!!
