Little Steps Daycare Preschool

An incredible school! The staff are welcoming and truly care for the betterment of all the students. I have watched our children flourish and thrive since starting at Little Steps. I cannot recommend it enough!

I was so excited for my son to start little steps because the facility is clean, and the staff was friendly. However, to my dismay my son caught covid two days in. I do understand that a child who hasnt been exposed to a daycare setting before is likely to fall ill However, this was not just the flu, my son could not breathe, wasnt eating or drinking, wasnt walking, vomiting about 5 times in a day, had diarrhea and was severely dehydrated. we spent two nights in the ER with my son. we did x~rays and it took us 8 hours to get him to pee so the doctor could discharge us .. I was so traumatized to the point where i decided i was going to take him from the daycare.. this was one of the hardest thing i ever had to deal with especially because i just started my new job.. i contacted them asking if i could have been reimbursed since my baby was only there for 2 days. we went back and forth until i was only offered the money that the ABC voucher provided to them for my son.. my son has been there for 2 days and i paid the registration fee $60, the deposit $195, the first week $195 and the ABC voucher had paid them $140. i said ok fine, my son life is greater than money let me call it a loss.. even though i went through great lengths to find that money..i notified the school that i would come and collect my sons belongings.. he was there for ONLY two days .. He didnt use any of the paint, crayon ( other things on the list that I was told i needed to provide to the school ) and when i asked where it was because i needed it back .. i was just told its communal .. the things i got for my son ? communal ??? from the money i had to borrow to pay for them ??? communal ? the things i got for him that he didnt use ? communal !?? was the money i had to borrow to get those stuff COMMUNAL ??? when i tell you i almost lost it but as a black woman we are already perceived a certain way so i kept my composure .. . People never see whats going on behind the scene or what you go thru to get what you need to done .. All they saw on their end was that i paid my sons fee and bought his items To this date , this is my worse experience in life and i do not wish it on anyone !!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone. my baby and i are both on our healing and recovery journey from this place As a child of God, i will allow the Lord to fight this battle. be blessed
