Port Royal Sound Foundation Maritime Center

Very good information about the nature of this area. Nice museum, art and recycling made by children, super friendly staff and the perfect place to bring your children. Admission is free, there are bathrooms and parking.

We went here with our small kids and all loved this museum. Kids got to even touch a real turtle and did a treasure hunt. Great place all around.

Love the programs at the Maritime Center. We just attended Joanna's Nature Journaling hike for kids 5+ and enjoyed exploring a new trail and gaining new knowledge with her expertise as a naturalist.

My 9yr old niece drew a picture and it hung up at this location. She was one of many childen that was chosen to have their picture place in a book for their school. Great job to all the children.

Love Port Royal Sound! They do a great job on so many levels. I recently attended one of their Tuesday Talks at The Port Royal Sound Foundation Maritime Center which was given by The Center for Birds of Prey located near Charleston. It was very informative and the speaker brought 3 wild birds. I love these classes as it really helps people understand how delicate our environment is and to have info on how to help. A GREAT Center for young kids, teenagers and older folks like me. I highly recommend them.
