        Hundreds of not thousands of birds of all kinds. Saw a gator, turtles, and was told that there are armadillos. Picnic area: Covered picnic tables.

        Excellent preserve! Go and do some of the alternative trails as well. Bring bug spray off trial got a tick or two and the mosquitoes get hungry back there.

        Beautiful natural area with many opportunities to see water birds and alligators. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash to prevent wildlife interactions. Picnic area: Picnic shelter near a pollinator garden and lots of mowed grassy areas for spreading a blanket.
