The birthday cake I ordered from here was a huge disappointment. Bummer, because this place is super cute and everything else in the case looked delicious! The cake was supposed to be toasted coconut - but there was no coconut to be found in the cake. Just a ton of coconut flavoring in the frosting. The yellow sponge tasted very stale and flavorless. It almost seemed like it was made over a day or two ago or way over-baked . I was told there would be coconut on the outer sides of the cake and there was not. $40 for a 4-inch cake is steep and the product should deliver. Maybe a better place for cookies and cupcakes, but cannot recommend for a cake.

FRUSTRATING! Whenever I visit the city I take the opportunity to go to Sugar, and I have recommended this place for years. But the continued neglect caused me immense frustration. Today I called asking them to store my child's favorite cookie, I explained that I was 45 minutes away and they gave me the word that I could go as they would store the units they had, so I could pick it up and pay at the store. I drove for 45 minutes and when I got there, the lady said they sold out because they were busy. I was frustrated with the disrespect for my time, with the expectations of a child that were broken, and with the lack of words the person had. Unfortunately I don't see how I can recommend this place. Things are good, but the lack of respect for the customer made me give up there, and certainly in the same way I recommended to everyone, I will disclose what happened.
