What a special temple. I am so happy to have found such beautiful and historic reform synagogue in Charleston. The manificent building is Greek revivals and its sanctuary is beautiful with cozy divided wood pews, upper balcony showcasing a magnificent organ, and historic Torah dating back hundreds of years. There are tours given by docents who are very knowledgeable about the history. It's here at KKBE where reform Judaism was born and its celebrating 275 years as the 2nd oldest temple in continuous use in America.

Wonderful place, from the time we arrived and went through the security, through the time before Shabbat we were made to feel welcome and part of their family. The building itself is an amazing witness to time and continuity definitely worth visiting. 5 stars aren't enough.
