        I don't normally write reviews but today I had to make an exception. My Aunt did her banking at Southstate Bank and she recently passed away. I've been trying to get her affairs in order and I live in NY so it's been difficult. When I called Southstate I spoke with Miss Vestina Davis and she treated me with such kindness and compassion. She has gone out of her way to help me and I'm truly grateful. Thank you Miss Davis!

        Bad service. I went to get my card printed their bald head manager told me they couldnt print my card because my account was made online. Which I contacted the customer service people they told me that they shouldve printed my card regardless because I am a client of theirs. Then its been more than 14 business days and Ive still havent received my debit card in the mail. I cant even get any of my money out of their bank because they wont print my card.

        Customer Service is fine. It's the practices they use that is ridiculous. I've had about 3 different banks in the last 4 years and each one has had some type overdraft protection by blocking card transactions from putting you in the negative. My stepfather racked up over 500 dollars in overdraft fees via this issue over the course of 2 days.
