Long and the short of it. I was charged $1,120.00 for them dig up the meter box and replace 4' of Pex (no valves replaced). Thought it was ridiculous. He did give me a quote via text ($1,120) and I thought that was to replace all of the water line from the box to the house which was maybe 25' to 30', but it was just 4'. I am just glad they did not come out on Sunday as they said they were going to (the plumber called and said he would be out Monday) if they did come out on Sunday curious to see what the price would have been, I bet over $2,000. I had to call his supervisor (I think Scott) and give him my credit card information. I complained about the price, but nothing was done about it. Then on top of that they charged me an additional 3% and called it a surcharge. I know it was the credit card fee they are charged. You live and learn. I am business owner and sometimes I feel guilty about what I charge. I guess I am in the wrong business. I am wondering if the Plumbers get a % of the price. The Plumber told me the price was calculated out of their office. The more I think about it I am not sure if that was true or not. Other plumbing companies I know of their plumbers or technicians figure the prices, because I have spoken with them and priced work because they need my services (concrete cutting and removal). Mike with Duckett plumbing came to do an inspection for us on an older home we are buying. He was very thorough honest and fair. We appreciated his time, communication skills, experience and expertise. We will definitely reach out to them should we need them in the future.

The technician sent out, Donte was an amazing worker and very professional. He deserves to be recognized for going above and beyond, he crawled into an area with only 13 clearance and restored my water in under an hour, and had the muddy wet clothes to prove it. I offered a tip but he politely declined and said he was happy to help. He explained everything to me in a very understandable manner and done high quality work. Will definitely be calling again for anymore plumbing issues. Thank you!
