Courtyard by Marriott Charleston-North Charleston

Didnt realize that it was the bridge run weekend which was why prices were so high. The hotel is nice, but initially had to get a fitted sheet that had been forgotten. Mattress was horrible. Bowed towards the middle. Fitness room was good. Breakfast was $10-15 and had free coffee. Room space and bathrooms were good.

Nice hotel. Bad traffic in the AM. Allow extra time. seemed a bit under staffed in kitchen. Wonderful service otherwise.

I don't know what is happening with the Marriott's staff but the girl up front was sitting down on her phone looking at us like we were inconveniencing her by check in us in but she didnt even acknowledge us and waiting for someone else with the same attitude to check us in.

Clean room at check-in. Fairly quiet hotel. They must be short housekeeping staff, as no one came into the room to replenish towels or take out trash over three days. So be prepared to make your own bed! The housekeeping staff were in the hallways cleaning rooms and working long hours, but they never hit my room for anything. Pleasant housekeeping staff, just must be short-staffed. Early morning front desk staff Chris is great. The day staff and early evening staff don't give the impression they give a damn about anything but their cell phones. They'll greet you if you greet them first. If you are going into Charleston from this hotel, be prepared for horrible traffic from 6AM-9:30AM and 3PM-7:30PM. I'd stay here again if my business was in North Charleston. I wouldn't stay here if I was going downtown for anything, or expecting a Marriott-level experience. Rooms: Clean, and fairly quiet.
