Village Hills by Great Southern Homes

My partner and I were looking for townhomes in Pendleton and came across Great Southern Homes. He inquired four times over the span of a month and got notified we received your inquiry after each one. He called Brad and there was no answer. He then proceeded to call Gundi and while he picked up the phone, there were no formalities. Gundi made no introduction nor stated his affiliation with Great Southern Homes. We asked our questions and were told that the floor plan we were looking at would be available in their newest community. We scheduled a tour for the next day, showed up and Gundi was in his vehicle loudly talking on the phone. When we opened the door to the model, he stepped out of the car but made no effort to speak with us first. After walking in Gundi was impersonal, told us the layouts we were wanting were unavailable in both communities we were looking at, and gave us a flyer of the floor plans. Why did we come in person to have our time wasted over false information from the day before? No clue. Overall it was a very unprofessional experience. Update: after calling Gundi to tell him about the experience from our point of view (again no formal introduction just a hello?) he proceeded to gaslight us by saying he never said that the floor plan is unavailable. Although, the flyer we received does not have the floor plan we were looking at, just like he said in person.

This company has no regard for the people who live near their construction sites. The workers showed up this morning (Sunday) at 7:15 and immediately turned on their loud music and started hammering away. Not the way a community minded organization should be running their business.

I moved into a home recently that was built just 3 years ago by GSH. I was not the original homeowner thus didn't have access to the home warranty information. I decided to reach out for help regarding an issue that resulted from poor grading on the property. I was willing to pay to have the professionals come out and quote a repair. I know that grading and erosion are seldom covered in a home warranty so I asked if an evaluator could come out to help me decide what can be done. However, I received an extremely rude email in return citing "how clearly" what I was asking for was NOT covered under warranty and they would not be helping me in any way. So I'm not going to be doing any business with them since they're so insistent that I am "no longer their problem". The house, itself is solidly built, so they get 2 stars for that. But the lack of professionalism in how they respond to inquiry leaves much to be desired from a customer service standpoint.
