This place I wouldn't send a dog, the aids sit in the cafeteria and gossip all day. Will not bathe residents or give Tylenol or toilet unless family member is there and asked. You would think upon family members being on scene they would do better, but they don't. The communication between nurses, aids and therapy is terrible. They serve cold food it's just a strong no for me!

If you have love ones that you actually care for don't send them here!! My father was here for a week for after care and the nurses are nothing but rude and inconsiderate. Thankfully he was mobile and able to speak up. He had a nurse one night tell him she wasn't getting him toilet paper!! Everyone from the front desk to nurses is terrible! The only kind person was Jackie(I think she is the head nurse). Don't send your love ones here if you want them to be cared for an treated with respect and kindness.

My mom was a patient here a couple months ago. She is a diabetic. Because of her lack of appetite, she had not been getting any insulin or only a unit or two. They had supposedly checked her blood sugar and administered 30 units of insulin when her blood sugar was already low. When EMS arrived, thanks to my cousin who was visiting at the time and noticed some physical abnormalities such as foaming of the mouth, speech issues, etc., her blood was 20s/30s. My cousin also notified staff of these problems and told her just to sit her up. If the EMS didnt arrive when they did and with my cousins intervention, she would have died. Please, please keep your loved ones away from this place. They are not attentive and did not once think about her insulin units and her level of blood sugar when administering medication. It truly is neglect.

My dad was a resident at Simpsonville Post acute. I would never put another family member here or recommend it to anyone. They staff half the time ignored him. He had a care plan to have one on one with meals due to him having a stroke, they never had any one assist him and he lost weight. I am aware they are busy and understaffed, but the facility was the one who did his care plan and they could not even follow there own plan. It was not unusual for me to go in and have to give dad a bed bath & total bed change because he was unable to call for help & they did not check on him regularly. When family members would visit, we would be there for up to 3 hours and not a single staff member would come in the room, so much for every 2 hours check. They also on one occasion called my sister and told her that dad would be discharged with in 24 hours & she had to come get him. This is not even allowed, they have to give 30 day notice. They did not want my dad to take up a bed because he converted over to long term care on hospice & they were not making money on him any longer. I ended up taking him home on Dec 6th and was told he would get a refund as the whole month had already been paid for. A month late, and surprise surprise, still have no refund in hand. I have been told it will be out in the mail to the facility on friday, but I have heard that for 3 weeks. It is just funny that they wanted to kick my dad out within 24 hours and now can not give us back money to care for him. This facility is all about the bottom line and not resident care.
