Ive worked at this place for almost two years now and I love it, the management is amazing and i wouldnt go anywhere else, best decision ive ever made for my career! I love my residents and i have never seen one of my coworkers hurt them or anything else. We love everyone, and want to help ur families out.

Horrible! Just be very careful before you put your loved one in this facility. The first time I visited my mother there it seemed fine the second time I came back and Holly the manager treated me like I was a leper and when I asked her to explain she gave me different reasons which each time I questioned her reasoning she couldn't back it up and she kept changing her story and finally hung up on me saying she'd have to call her supervisor and she'd call me back. Which she never did. So I emailed the facility and just gave a detailed explanation of what happened and I wondered if I could get a response to my questions to which I never got a response. And that is not even to mention the bruises on her eye and her arm and her side within one week of her living there. And that is not even to mention going into the lunchroom and seeing residents with their heads on the table during lunch time and when asked about that the response was he likes to fake it. Yet it was not the same guy each time. And that is not to mention the worse than prison food my mother was shoving around on her plate . Residents were scraping their food onto the table and the floor was dirty and it was awful . I was so grateful when my mother's executor got her out of there without any of my prompting and she is in a much better place today and doing so much better within one week. As I said be very careful before you put your loved one at Morning star.

The management is a lack of competence and extremely rude the unnecessary stress and drama and lack of communication. The constant nitpicking from the managers who are also sisters is a constant daily occurrence most staff refuses and doesn't want to work that shift anymore! it's just become toxic they're also good at covering things up whether it be a med error or accident report. The job itself is purposeful and the residents are amazing and some of the staff amazing as well. It's a whole different story when the resident's families are there but when they're not there these residents have so many rules told to go in their room or put them to better 5:00 because they don't want to be up walking around with them it's a fall risk! The resident's are not able to read the newspaper while eating breakfast.. just because the cook says so! They have food from days prior before that are leftovers that they say that are alternatives these residents do not have a choice or stay here NEPOTISM is a huge factor of why this place is horrible God forbid you were to go up to a higher Superior the owner you get threatened, they do not like it when staff defends themselves they will continue to have a high turnover rate until corporate or the owner address this issue! On the other hand, strong leaders who use good management skills positively impact a company in various ways, like reducing turnover, improving morale and empowering employees to be more productive. Management needs to lead by example and create a positive working environment for employees to perform at their best capacity.

My sister has lived at Morning Star for about a year. The facility is a smaller homelike environment which means that my sister gets a lot of individualized care. Its a huge step to place a loved one in the care of others, and I have felt comfortable that she is in good hands. There are many excellent, long term staff at the facility that are dedicated to their profession and meeting my sisters needs.

The abuse I witnessed here is extremely bad. They flip people over in wheelchairs and pull their hair. Its absolutely horrible. Please think twice before putting your loved ones in here. I witnessed the owner slap a resident in the face in the dining room. Please do your research.
