image I recently relocated from Phoenix to South Dakota.
Found Greg and he took a look at my accounts, modified them and made the transition flawlessly.
Rely took all of the pressure off me. I highly recommend him to everyone.
Thanks again
Ken

image Was their customer for years, but one accident (hitting my own car, in my own driveway) and they doubled my rates. Unbundled to get an auto policy I could afford and they raised homeowners nearly $1000 per year. Was not in good hands.

image Update: I dropped Allstate after they screwed me over for about 2500.00 on a hail claim. Today I get a mailer from Greg Geary Allstate saying they "can save me money"... Please explain Greg, how Allstate will save you money when they screw you over if you file a claim??? ... The advertised example of 104 a month would in reality be about 300.00 a month when you factor in the scam "appraisal" your online people (who never looked at the car) do.... Original post with the details: Last summer (2023) my Dodge Durango was damaged in a hail storm. I had it looked at by a reputable local body shop and they found $10,500.00 in damage. Allstate took that estimate and hacked it up, said there was "unnecessary work" and would only pay $7900.00. I wanted to see the difference between the body shop estimate and the Allstate Appraisal... But miracle of miracles, they couldnt provide that, and their website was having problems, so I have never seen their "estimate" They also told the body shop that we (Allstate and I) had done a virtual appraisal. That is a 100% LIE. It never happened, but they want the body shop to think I agreed to less and told them so. Furthermore, Allstate stated in their appraisal that they viewed my car at the body shop. Another 100% LIE. They have no appraisers in South Dakota and never saw the car in person. In fact I asked the Allstate phone appraiser how many years he was in auto body and he said he never was, but they can "only go by the pictures", in this case 2 photos that I posted when I filed the claim. When they told me thay can only go by photos, I offered to send more and they declined, and also refused to come see the car in person. When I disagreed and called my agent, he talked a big game like he was in my corner, and I offered to get a 2nd appraisal at a different shop. It was $11, 400. That made no difference to Allstate, they never even looked at it and tried to appease me with $8500.00 saying they had found a cheaper hood and tail light, both from a junkyard with no warranty. When I asked for the name and number of the junkyard, they wouldn't provide it. More than likely they didn't exist. They insisted there was still unnecessary work they wouldnt pay for... I asked them to detail the unnecessary work and they couldnt tell me, just that they would only know once the car was in the shop... And this is key: In SD you dont have to accept less if you dont fix your car. Which is my choice...They make up some number call it unnecessary, won't document what it is, because they don't know or care, and then screw you out of that money. My agent then said they would have honored my estimate had I used a "preferred shop" So I got a 3rd estimate: $11,700 from their preferred vendor. Allstate rejected that appraisal, never even acknowledged receiving it, and stuck with their $8500.00. Final assessment: Allstate is a disgraceful sham operation. The agent Greg Geary said he would go to bat for me but obviously he's not a very good batter and apparently they don't care to hear his opinion any more than mine In the end, he didn't get me one red cent more and kept saying hes never had this problem befor...Allstate also tried to pressure me into accepting a quick electronic payment so they could close the claim. And when I refused, they sent the check to the body shop instead of sending it to me hoping the body shop would cash it and get them off the hook....They like to brag about how fast they pay claims, they never tell you it's for 70% of the actual damage and they pocket the rest. You're in good hands with Allstate... Until you file a claim. One last thing: I got a call from the Allstate Customer Satisfaction line and, when I told her how dissatisfied I was, she said "I work for Allstate, but I get my insurance from another company" ... That tells me all I need to know.
