I happened to come across Dr. Kozel through our insurance. It was really just a random selection. Having worked with several therapists over the years I can say full heartedly that Dr. Kozel is probably the most competent therapist I have come across. She listens actively and attentively, is in charge of the session and provides evidence-based guidance. Before rushing to a diagnosis, she completes assessments to evaluate the patient and supports the parents as much as the adolescent in her care. Just now Dr. Kozel sent me a comprehensive email with resources, podcasts and referrals all on her own time. There may be a wait to see Dr. Kozel for the first appointment but its well worth it. The Black Hills community is truly blessed to have access to a therapist of this caliber.
