The Sturgis Motel

We had a wonderful stay at The Sturgis Motel. The room was very clean... floor was even vacuumed!! Owners very accommodating... great customer service! We will definitely be staying there again as we have family in the area.

The rooms at this motel are affordable and the parking is decent. If you're traveling with a trailer, make sure to ask the office where to park. Sturgis is a very secure and safe place, and theft is almost non-existent. If you have any problems during your stay, feel free to message me. The motel is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown. Usually, there's a bus that runs from The Knuckle Saloon to Deadwood for most Deadwood events. Currently, there's no UBER or LYFT available, but that's changing soon. The motel is owned by locals, and it's a fairly enjoyable place to stay. There's a grassy seating area along Junction that offers good views during most rallies.

Passing through Sturgis and decided to stay here. Arrived after 830 p.m. and the office was closed, but there was a drop box, and inside were envelopes with room keys, instructions, and a receipt. Inside the room there was another book with a lot of helpful information. It is an older hotel but it was clean. The beds were comfortable, and there were some extra amenities in and around the hotel... places to sit on a large deck, barbecue grill and accessoriea, etc. There was no coffee in the room, but there was some in a common area on the 1st floor. The price was unbelievably low!

While we did not go for the rally, we were traveling through and this place was amazing! Great owners! Very accommodating and well kept! I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend! We stayed August 27th. Rooms: Very clean and comfortable Walkability: You could walk to eateries.

The positive reviews are well deserved! The Sturgis Motel is everything you could ever want from a classic American motel. Terrific value and very nice staff.... I had a nice chat with the son Jake who runs the place along with his mother. They are very nice people who take pride in what they do. Rooms? Spotless. Bed? Super comfortable. And the location is perfect. I'm driving across the USA and it was so nice staying here after several nights of staying in those boring, soulless corporate chain hotels you find littered across the country. If you find yourself in Sturgis don't hesitate for a second to stay here. I didn't know much about the area before I drove in and I was shocked at just how beautiful the surrounding Black Hills are. I hope to be back one day.
