        We were on our return trip from Texas to Quebec and in the state of Tennessee we had a transmission problem on our Dodge Ram 2500 truck. Downtown Diesel was referred to us and we had a knowledgeable and professional service to replace our transmission. Thanks to the whole team!

        I'm new to the area, and I heard of downtown diesel through a friend. I have two trucks and they've done a little work on both at this point. They are good at communicating and timelines, they let me know that they were a week out on diagnosing and another on fixing the problems. I would much rather hear that up front than wonder why the trucks not done. The prices were reasonable for the work done. I had also flipped a piece of equipment and was struggling to get it back upright, the owner I believe, instead of passing by stopped and helped me lift it back in place, not easy because it's heavy and awkward. They truly want to help people stay on the road!

        I will not go back to them. They had my truck for five months and still did not figure out what exactly was wrong with it because all they wanna do is put it on a computer and have the computer. Tell them what everything was.

        We were stranded out of state with a fuel filter issue. Downtown Diesel immediately ordered the part and got it fixed so quickly! They were the nicest people!! We highly recommend!!!

        Great big shout out to Down Town Diesel in Athens, Tn. Our Chevrolet 2500HD 8.1 liter 496 cubic inch engine got sick. We took our GAS BURNER to Down Town Diesel and they fixed him and now hes ripping pavement again . They fixed our truck, ordered new tires, had them put on and when we picked it up, it was 100% ready to go. So they dont just work on diesels THEY DO IT ALL, big jobs, little jobs, gas and diesel . These guys are the best around Their reviews on Google speaks volumes. Thanks Guys for a great job !!

      Sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction. There seems to be a clear misunderstanding. Your truck was accurately diagnosed to have either a lifter or cam lobe failure (you did not approve further tear down to get to the exact reason due to cost) and you were given two separate estimate options for repairs. Your husband, who Ross was in contact with the duration of the time your truck sat on our lot, declined both options for repair because he did not want to spend the money to have the truck fixed. No harm in that and no hard feelings on our part, we understand that spending thousands on an older truck is a tough decision. We even let the truck sit on our lot for several months without charging for storage while he searched for a cheaper used engine replacement.
