I am so happy we were recommended to RehabWorks from our son's doctor. We have been going twice a week for about a month and we are starting to see some progress. For years we fought doctors and therapists trying to find someone who would listen and now we have. My son who has not spoken much at all has started to verbally ask for things a little more and even uses his new picture schedule and picture book to let us know what he wants and needs more. Still very few words right now but more than he was using before we started. We have seen fewer negative behaviors and overall, a happier kiddo. They listen to any of our concerns and actually take them seriously and answer any and all questions we have. They have also told us what seems to work during therapy so we can take that and use those methods at home. I feel heard and listened to. They truly care about the kids and the progress of the kids. They even work with our schedule. Our son has even started doing things he has never done before as far as self-care. I really feel that they have given us amazing tools to use at home that not only help him but give him more confidence and I am thrilled. We still have a long journey ahead, but I am finally confident we can get there with the amazing staff at RehabWorks.

Going to leave this review. Rehab works in Athens TN is an occupational therapist. My almost 6 year old was diagnosed by the head therapist at Rehab works with mild autism. Now my son has some behavioural issues that we believe mostly stems from genetics due to his biological. We went to rehab works for months. He had three appointments there a week that stemmed from an hour to an hour and a half. This place is in Athens and we would drive from Etowah. After months of being there we would tell the therapist about his behavioural issues and she would just respond with, "oh it's because he has autism." "Oh you need to brush his whole body every two hours." My son punched my sleeping infant in the face and it was "because he has autism." Now we do not believe that my son has autism and after months of going to this place we told the receptionist that we had talked about it and would not be coming back because we didn't believe that it was benefitting him, we had seen no improvement, gas prices are going up and driving out there for 2 or 3 appointments a week wasn't worth it when this program wasn't helping him at all. We also told them that instead of occupational therapy we would be seeking a therapist or behavioural therapist for my son. They have been calling me non stop begging us to bring my son back. During our time there if you were 2 minutes late they would call you wanting to know where you were. We overslept one morning and withing 30 minutes of us not being there they called me several times, my husband who was at work, and my mother who lives in Georgia wanting to know when Ethan could come in. If I had to call to cancel an appointment because one of my children were sick they would call and text me all week until i brought him in a minimum of 2 times a week. We went on vacation and they texted me wanting to know if we could be back from our vacation by that Friday so that he could come in for an appointment. I get that if you lose a patient you don't get money but this is ridiculous. What kind of doctors office harasses parents for quitting their practice? If you see their office you can clearly see they are hurting for money but like I said this is ridiculous.
