Sunshine Hollow

Had our wedding here on October 8th. Beautiful absolutely stunning place! They are amazing to work with. Very friendly. The food they prepared was outstanding!! I could go on and on. I would definitely recommend this place for any type of gathering that you want to be scenic and private.

Less than an hours, beautiful drive from Chattanooga, you enter this carefully manicured, enchanted hideaway off CR 52 in Athens. What a beautiful respite from traffic and noise. 8 miles of well thought out trails, ponds full of Lilly pads, acres and acres of daylillies and naturally indigenous plants surprised us at every glance. They have a full service kitchen, a operating bakery, and a humongous meeting/banquet hall that was designed with perfect acoustic flare. Visit them, then when you have your event in plan, schedule them, but stop by that gift shop and bring your appetite.

We drove over on a beautiful October day to purchase some of the goodies at the Store. I rank the praline pecans and chocolate covered pecans as the best. Also purchased some fruit cake as gifts to take back to Michigan and one of the samplers for us all to have a bite or two. Dave was very gracious and gave us excellent directions for our return trip. When I was last there 20 years ago, it was in July and the day lilies were stunning. Not so many flowers this time of year but it was still worth the trip. You can order all those wonderful items via the internet and save yourself the trip but we really enjoyed the scenery getting there.
